Experimental investigation on parametric excitation of plasma oscillations in Josephson tunnel junctions

چکیده
Experimental evidence for subharmonic, parametric excitation of plasma oscillations in Josephson tunnel junctions is presented. The experiments described a re performed by measuring the microwave power necessary to switch a Josephson tunnel junction biased in the zero voltage state to a finite voltage state.
